the types and structures of discourse and how to analyze a discourse using descriptive

This course is a continuation of Oral English III. In this course, you will continue to develop academic speaking and listening skills. You will listen to authentic audio and video materials relating to current problems in Indonesia and the world, such as urbanization and environmental issues. Through exploring and discussing these problems, you will develop your vocabulary and ability to engage in these topics using English. Your formal speaking skills will be strengthened through two big projects: giving a formal PowerPoint presentation in mid-semester and creating a newscast at the end of the semester

Mata Kuliah ini dibuat untuk mengembangkan skill membaca dan menulis 5 jenis teks dalam bahasa Inggris. Teks tersebut yaitu Narrative Texts, Descriptive Texts, Procedural Texts, Comparative and Contrastive Texts dan Persuasive Texts. Pendekatan pengajaran mata kuliah ini menggunakan local folklore based texts dan di akhir pembelajaran mahasiswa mampu menulis 5 bentuk teks yang telah disebutkan di atas.
